Adam Wes is Founder, CEO and Lead instructor of Adam Wes Academics. A lifelong educational enthusiast, Adam earned a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Washington.
Adam was born in South Africa and immigrated to Mercer Island, Washington at the age of three. From an early age he was always interested in math, chemistry, biology, astronomy, physics and music. Adam’s love for Jazz and the saxophone rivaled his interest and passion for academics and throughout his high school years he won various awards at Jazz festivals around the country including the Lionel Hampton Outstanding Soloist Award.
In college, Adam focused on math and physics and frequently found himself assisting his peers in these subjects. This is where his passion for teaching began. As a graduate school applicant, Adam started tutoring part-time in Los Angeles. Before long, Adam discovered that his aptitude and love for teaching in a one-on-one environment was something that he needed to fully pursue.
Through referrals Adam quickly became a full-time tutor and was overwhelmed by the number of students needing his assistance. This prompted the start of Adam Wes Academics, a company instituted to help Adam provide outstanding educational service to the students that came to him for help. In the last 4 years, Adam has personally tutored more than 5000 hours and his company, Adam Wes Academics, has tutored more than 1000 individual students. Operating in seven major cities across the country, Adam Wes has employed more than 100 exceptional tutors to assist him in his efforts.
From its inception in 2006, Adam has been expanding Adam Wes Academics with the long-term goal of making one-on-one instruction in math and science a standard for all economic backgrounds and academic aptitudes. It is Adam’s commitment to provide the highest quality of service and best overall experience to all the students and families of Adam Wes Academics.
