Algebra II Tutoring

Algebra 2 is a continuation of the topics discussed in Algebra 1. Students are required to have a mastery of the Algebra 1 material to confidently and easily learn the new material and will need to get extra help if they do not. Success in Algebra 2 is critical to success in pre-Calculus and Calculus as well as many science subjects such as Physics, Advanced Chemistry and Economics.

A little Algebra 2 is found on the SAT 1 math section but it is a huge part of the SAT II math subject test. Students that do not master Algebra II will need to do extra review while studying for the SAT II subject test. Therefore, it is critical that students master Algebra 2 when they take it. Nothing less than an A grade is sufficient to truly grasp the material, as will all math and science subjects.

A typical Algebra 2, high school course, may cover the following material:

  • Equations and Inequalities
  • Linear Equations and Functions
  • Systems of Linear Equations and Inequalities
  • Matrices and Determinants
  • Quadratic Functions
  • Polynomials and Polynomial Functions
  • Powers, Roots, and Radicals
  • Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
  • Rational Equations and Functions
  • Quadratic Relations and Conic Sections
  • Sequences and Series
  • Probability and Statistics
  • Trigonometric Ratios and Functions
  • Trigonometric Graphs, Identities, and Equations
